THE RACE THROUGH SUPERMARKET

CONCEPT

The race through supermarket is a competition reality show that consists of 13 episodes of 30- minute commercial programme.

In each episode 2 families with 4 members, from all over the country, race through supermarket, and put the goods from the shelves on the way in the consumer baskets.

Every family has two trolleys, its own path, a time limit (there is no time for thinking and counting!), and a cash limit! The families meet at the checkout at the end of the race. The family that exceeds the cash limit loses the game. The family that is closer to the cash limit actually wins the game.

The winning family takes the goods won to their home, while the other family has to return the goods to the shelves under the watchful eye of the camera. The race includes a special task that makes it more difficult for the competitors – three games that interrupt the race and give special charm to this format.

During the race, the viewers in the corners of the screen can track the amount of money of the goods in the baskets, as well as the time, which is limited. The families are cheered up until the very end, when the counter stops, however there is still a final task for families: Choose combination of 3 products from the shelf we have put in front of the checkout. Then we follow the prices at the checkout and together with the viewers we learn who the winner is! Then there are congratulations, hugging, putting the blame… There is a video of the winning family putting the goods in their car and the despair of the losers who have to turn everything back to the shelves!

In The Race there is also a main presenter – master of the ceremony and two female presenters (each for every family).

All participants are bugged and have their own cameras, so the viewers can hear and see their interaction, laughter and tears. In one episode there are celebrity families as competitors. In short, Supermarket race is fun for the whole family.
